COMPETITIONS GUIDE

SCHEDULING REGULATIONS

Scheduling will be the complete responsibility of the Executive Committee, with the Secretary serving as the primary administrator in the scheduling process.

A MASTER SCHDULE will posted for the entire calendar year by January 1st. Each team will be contacted by November 1st with the request to specify dates that are unavailable. They will be required to return this information in writing to the Union's Secretary by December 1st and the final schedule will be posted by January 1st.

Any rescheduling of matches for any reason will be handled by the Union's Secretary. If a coach or team has a concern about the scheduling of a match they can bring this issue to the Executive Council and a decision will be made within (10) days.

All Union events will be on this schedule including meetings, tournaments, special events, UNION MATCHES (Non UNION matches will be up to the individual club), fundraisers, etc.

REFEREE REGULATIONS

The Master schedule will be presented to the Referee's Society by the Union by February 1st and August 1st of each respective season. (FALL and SPRING) Although the Union will submit this schedule, it is still the responsibility of the team to make sure a referee is scheduled.

The Referee's Society will return a completed schedule and it will be posted by March 1st.

Teams need to make sure to call and confirm the referee will be officiating their match within 48hrs of the match beginning.

A check needs to be presented to the referee that is officiating their match prior to it starting. The amount is based on the assigned amount configured by the Referee's Society Executive Council.

Each team needs to have a binder in their possession at each match with contains their current roster (printed from the USA Membership Website), Medical Insurance & Identification Form for each player, and a Liability Waiver for each player on their roster.

The binder must be presented to the opposing team's coach or captain 20 mins. before match. If a coach believes that a player is not eligible, they can request an ID check, performed and confirmed or denied from the referee.

A match report must be completed online (www.greatplainsrugby.com) by both team's coaches and the referee within 24hrs of the matches' completion. These will stay on file with the Union for 1 year.
